Vice Admiral’s Cup 31st May - 1st June
Friday
Racing abandoned - no wind.
Saturday
Started late afternoon and finally got some wind to play with into the early evening. The sailing was 100% on the button. The crew work was just brilliant, quiet and tidy and relaxed yet fully concentrated on the tasks ahead. Some clever and steady tactics helped put us in 2nd place in the first race and 1st in the second race. This put us as a clear leader of the day with the 2 best places of the day. Next best had a 1st and a 4th, so our lead was pretty good on the fleet. A great day.
However, 4 races in total are needed to constitute a series to get our hands on the cup... So we hoped for more wind on Sunday..
Sunday
After waiting from 08:00 until 12:00 the cloud cover held steady and prevented any breeze from developing and RCYS abandoned the racing and the Cup was put back into the cupboard for now..
