Vice Admiral’s Cup 31st May - 1st June
Well it was a weekend which, like the parsons egg, was good in parts.
It was a very good test in that we went from 22 knots in the first race to 8-10 in the last race so covered a big spectrum of conditions.
The weekend was a great opportunity for new and existing crew members to get to know one another and an opportunity to identify areas for improvement.
Sunday was difficult as we had a poor start and then did OK with the shifts and the second race we got launched off the start but the wrong way BIG TIME and then just could not get back in the groove shift wise. It was a choppy day with all the dirty air and wake around and it was difficult for trimmers and drivers.
Another practice day is planned before the Vice Admiral’s Cup and we fully expect to be fighting for the lead position in that regatta.
